Visiting the senior home

My job was simply to talk to and socialize with the seniors, since they couldn’t really keep our flyers I passed out.

It felt quite bittersweet knowing many of them didn’t have the cognitive skills or ability anymore to speak but the fact that almost all of them tried to was so amazing. I learned that even as their memories leave them, their personality shines through, even just a little bit.

I want to work in the medical field so I feel as though this experiment really helps if I ever have to deal with seniors or someone who is handicapped. I will always remember the seniors i met today and treated me fondly.
