About us
A community where young musicians create connection through music.
When Music Brings Us Back Together
We believe that music is more than competition—it is about harmony and connection.
At Hibiki, we share live music in places like libraries, senior homes, and community spaces. When young musicians perform in these settings, we begin to see how music can connect people across generations and create moments of real human interaction.
Today, artificial intelligence can generate music in seconds. But live music reminds us of something technology cannot replace. Music is not just sound—it carries human experience, emotion, and presence.
Through live performances in our communities, we hope to create these moments—small but meaningful connections that remind us what music, and being human, is really about.

Our Global Presence
Music beyond borders
Hibiki’s activities extend beyond San Diego to Tokyo, Japan, and continue to expand.

Our Programs
Positively impacting our communities
We have four programs that foster the growth of music and arts across cultures and communities
Echo Project
Live music is a powerful way to support emotional well-being and human connection. Because of this, Echo Project brings live music to underserved children and communities, creating opportunities to experience music beyond screens. Led by youth musicians, performances and activities are designed to reach those who may not otherwise have access to music.
Echo Unplugged
Real-world connection is essential for children’s growth. Because of this, Echo Unplugged is an after-school program that encourages kids to step away from screens and experience the world using all five senses. Led by youth, the program creates space for authentic, real-life moments that can’t be found in a digital world.
Happy Note Lesson is Hibiki’s online one-on-one music program for underserved students all over the world, offering personalized guidance at each student’s pace. Young musicians provide supportive instruction, helping children build skills, confidence, and a love for music.
Echo Craft Lab
Human connection in underserved communities is an important part of our growth. Echo Craft Lab is a hands-on program where we explore art beyond music. Through painting, design, crafts, and simple DIY projects, we create, experiment, and express ourselves while connecting with others. It’s a space where we can build relationships, try new ideas, and enjoy making something with our own hands.
Echo Global Project
We aim to expand access to music for underserved children around the world.
Meet The Youth Team
Youth members are middle and high school students who bring many kinds of talent, from music to art and media. We perform, create, support programs, and help lead Hibiki’s projects with creativity and heart.
